Chinese and Pinoy caught with drugs worth P6.8 million

During a sting in Bonifacio Global City Taguig on Monday two Chinese men and a Filipina were arrested for alleged possession of drugs valued at P6.81 million.

According to a report from the Southern Police District (SPD) anti-narcotics officers arrested Yang Tao, 29, Kun Yang, 26 and Faith Suniga, 18 around 10:30 pm. at The Fort Strip parking lot.

According to reports, the suspects sold P1.2 million worth of shabu to an officer after selling at least one kilo.

In addition to the marijuana, police also found 100 Chinese magu tablets on the suspects.

Members of Yang Drug group nabbed

The suspects are members of the Yang drug ring that operates not just in Taguig but also in Makati, Muntinlupa, Pasig and Pasay, said SPD director Brig. Gen. Kirby John Kraft.

In the months leading up to their arrest, Kraft said the suspects were under surveillance.

During the investigation, police seized a sport utility vehicle and a car used for drug trafficking.

Drug trafficking charges have been filed against the suspects.
